Tantang Industrial Park is the only economic industrial park established by foundry and forge industry in Chenzhou City and even in South China. Jiahe has honorary titles such as The Foundry Capital in South China and The Forge Hometown of China-Green Forging Development Demonstration Base.
Tantang Industrial Park has formed a relatively large-scale forge and foundry high-tech industrial cluster, and has established a technical training center for casting product quality supervision and testing center, a precision casting technology research and development center and other public science and technology service platforms. There are 229 foundry and forge enterprises in Jiahe County and 94 large scale foundry and forge enterprises. Casting product occupies 60% of the market share in the Pearl River Delta region, and the industry scale ranks in the forefront of Hunan Province.
Jiahe County was established in 1639, covering an area of 699 square kilometers, governing 9 towns and 1 township, with a population of 420,000. It is one of the counties with the smallest area and the highest population density in the province.
